New Report on Road Project to be Reviewed by July 12th: The agreement stipulates a suspension of any roadblocks until Friday, July 12th. This pause allows for the review of a revised report on the paving project for the Quivi Quivi – Siporo – Tambillos road section, a project initially rejected by the ALDP.
Addressing Siporo Miners Concerns: The Siporo community and miners’ cooperatives initiated the roadblocks demanding approval for the road paving project, estimated to cost around 90 million Bolivianos. In response, a Special Committee was formed last night by representatives from the ALDP, Governor’s Office, Sedeca, and Siporo. This committee will focus on addressing the concerns raised by Siporo regarding the previously rejected project proposal.
Expedited Report for Mid-Year Recess Review: The goal is to finalize the revised report by July 11th for review by a commission of six assembly members. This commission is responsible for handling requests made by the Governor’s Office during the ALDP’s mid-year recess, according to ALDP President Ximena Paillo. Each commission has designated a delegate to participate in this working group, which holds the authority to approve projects and reports.
