Driver’s Speeding Alleged by Passengers: According to reports from passengers on the bus, the driver was speeding and failed to reduce speed despite the heavy traffic conditions. There were no injuries reported.

Previous Accident on the Bermejo-Tarija Highway: Earlier this year, Flota Padcaya was involved in another serious accident when one of their buses overturned on the Bermejo-Tarija highway. That incident resulted in one fatality and 17 injuries.

Criticism of Flota Padcaya’s Response: Following the previous accident, Flota Padcaya personnel were criticized for not providing assistance to the injured.
