From 4:00 PM until the stroke of midnight, La Paz will be a canvas painted with art, music, gastronomy, and spiritual reverence. More than 300 institutions have joined forces with the municipality to create “more than 15 circuits” of cultural exploration. The Plaza de las Culturas will morph into a fantasy realm, where cosplayers, Asian art aficionados, and medieval arts enthusiasts converge in a celebration of creativity.
At the epicenter of this cultural extravaganza, the San Sebastián, El Rosario, and San Francisco districts will bloom with artistic offerings. The Tambo Quirquincho Museum will spotlight the Afro-Bolivian art of the acclaimed Sharon Pérez, presented in collaboration with the Ghanaian consulate. The surrounding streets will be alive with live music, art demonstrations, and gourmet cuisine, transforming into pedestrian paradises perfect for leisurely strolls and photographic adventures.
Meanwhile, the San Francisco Museum will offer an architectural and artistic feast with its permanent collection of sacred art. Nearby, the lively streets of Linares and Jiménez will host themed restaurants, cafes, and live performances, further enriching the nocturnal ambiance.
The Cholita Climbers will have a dedicated stop at the Plaza Camacho, where you can test your strength on the bouldering wall, rappel down a simulated climb, and soar through the air on a zip line. This stop will also project the Cholitas documentary showcasing the journey of these trailblazing women.
The Alberto Saavedra Pérez Municipal Theater and the Norma Merlo Chamber Theater will open their doors, inviting visitors to explore their storied halls while enjoying a diverse array of musical performances and exhibitions.
A short walk away from the Central Teleferico station leads to the Mother Earth Park, where historical tours will be complemented by visual arts exhibitions and an intriguing foray into the history of Mexican wrestling, all set to a backdrop of music and poetry.
In the northern reaches of the city, the I. Colorados de Bolivia Regiment Museum and the municipal museums on Jaén Street—Customs, Pre-Columbian Precious Metals, and Casa de Murillo—will bring history to life with actors and holograms depicting Bolivian historical figures. Nearby, the Rosita Ríos Museum and Mamani Mamani Cultural Center will feature interactive sessions with artists, blending past and present.
For the second time, the Cerveceria Boliviana Nacional will welcome the public to explore its brewing process, adding a fresh layer of engagement with additional activities. Simultaneously, the Franz Tamayo Cultural Center will become a hive of live artistic creation, with over 40 artists and models infusing the space with dynamic energy.
The Kuljis Passage will be a crucible of artistic innovation, showcasing visual and literary arts alongside performances by emerging talents. In the heart of the city, national treasures such as the National Museum of Art, the Museum of Ethnography and Folklore, and the Police and Naval Historical Museum will reveal their rich heritage through innovative thematic exhibitions.
Max Paredes will shine a spotlight on the Santuario del Senor del Gran Poder, where intricate collections of sacred clothing and artifacts will be on display, inviting contemplation and awe.
At the University Mayor de San Andrés (UMSA), doors to numerous museums, research centers, laboratories, and faculties will open wide, presenting an array of exhibitions that span medicine, law, humanities, social sciences, and architecture.
In Sopocachi, the streets will be alive with artistic and cultural offerings, from the outdoor installations of the National Academy of Fine Arts “Hernando Siles” to the eclectic mix of art, photography, and gourmet delights at El Montículo, where 20 high-end restaurants and cafes will present their culinary masterpieces alongside performances by Luis Rico, Yujra Jazz, and Radio Cutipa.
Embassies will converge at the CAF in San Jorge, turning the area into an international art hub, while in Aranjuez, the Ricardo Pérez Alcalá House will offer a more intimate cultural experience for local residents.
Finally, the southern Humboldt Plaza will host a Slavic Bazaar, celebrating Russian culture with performances by singers and dancers, as well as a collaborative mural painting by educational institutions.
