This Thursday, the Centro Cultural de España (CCELP) opens its doors to “Mujeres de Trenzas: Ropa e Identidades de las Cholas Paceñas” (Braided Women: Dress and Identities of the Cholas Paceñas).
It delves into the hearts and minds of 10 Cholas Paceñas who participated in a collaborative curatorial process. Through their traditional attire, the exhibit explores the deep connections between clothing, love, work, and memory in their lives.
Exhibition Highlights: The exhibition showcases the significance of Cholas’ clothing in shaping their individual and collective identities. It also explores the interweaving of tradition, family and cultural heritage, and the journeys of working women towards self-determination.
