The “Mondongo and Chuquisaqueño Chorizo Fair” will kick off at 9:00 am on central Nicolás Ortiz Street this Saturday, marking a vibrant celebration in honor of the first cry of Independence in Latin America. This event is part of the festivities planned in Sucre for May 25th.
Beyond the Classics: While the fair honors traditional favorites like mondongo (tripe stew) and Chuquisaqueño chorizo, the selection goes beyond these staples. Expect other typical dishes like Sullka (stew with peanut sauce), Picante Mixto (various meats with vegetables), and Ttrimixto (grilled mixed meats with vegetables). Refreshing seasonal drinks like mockochinchi (made with peaches that have been peeled and dried) and horchata (rice milk beverage) will also be available.
Festive Atmosphere and Local Delights: Live music will add to the festive atmosphere as 37 select Sucre chefs will showcase their culinary skills.
